Our Service Philosophy

Wanslea's Family Services work from an approach based on assertive outreach. Wherever possible, we deliver our services in people’s homes. Research evidence shows that families with in-home care and support have better outcomes – because they practise what they have learned in their own homes.
The needs of the child are central to our work with families.
We focus on the strengths of the individual and the family, helping people to build on what is working well for them, and building their capacity to better meet life’s challenges.
We encourage families to engage with their community as a source of support and opportunity for growth.
Design and delivery of our services are guided by evidence from research and evaluation – so we can be confident that what we do works.
